This page explains the intellectual-property, fictionalisation, cultural-source and third-party-rights position applying to material published on true-charm.com and associated True Charm reader resources. It should be read together with the Terms of Use and any applicable privacy and cookie notices.

1. Ownership of original True Charm material

Except where expressly stated otherwise, original material created for True Charm and published on this website is owned by, licensed to, or controlled by True Charm S.R.L. This includes the website’s original prose, character profiles and character presentation, fictional biographies, fictional relationships, plot and setting material, lore and world-building, original scientific and analytical frameworks created for the saga, original diagrams and explanatory structures, editorial commentary, original illustrations and graphic interpretations, branding elements, and the original selection, organisation and presentation of these materials.

Copyright and other intellectual-property rights protect the original expression and arrangement of that material to the extent provided by applicable law. Publication on this website does not place it in the public domain and does not grant a licence to reproduce, republish, adapt, scrape, mine, train upon, distribute or commercially exploit it.

2. Historical facts, culture and public-source material

True Charm is rooted deliberately in real Romania. Pages may discuss Romanian history, folklore, religion, geography, architecture, institutions, music, language, science, law, politics, public records, customs, places and other fields of knowledge.

True Charm S.R.L. does not claim ownership of historical facts, public records, laws, traditional cultural practices, the names or bare facts of real historical persons, material that is in the public domain, or third-party works merely because those matters are discussed here. Rights are asserted in True Charm’s original wording, analysis, selection, arrangement, interpretation, illustration and other protectable expression built around those source materials.

3. Fiction, characters and fictionalised use of reality

True Charm is a work of fiction. It draws upon real history, geography, institutions, public records, traditions, businesses, organisations, places and publicly available information, but the narrative constructed from those materials remains fictional.

Real historical and public persons may appear where they form part of the documented historical or contemporary setting. Except where a person, event, statement or circumstance is expressly presented as historical or otherwise factual, conversations, private conduct, relationships, thoughts, motives, meetings, operations, decisions and incidents attributed to or surrounding such persons are fictional or fictionalised for narrative purposes.

Fictional characters, their biographies, relationships, dialogue, development, distinctive presentation and associated original narrative material are part of the True Charm creative property. Nothing on this website should be read as asserting ownership over an ordinary personal name or historical fact independently of the protectable fictional expression in which it appears.

4. Institutions, disciplines and research

Real governmental, intelligence, security, military, law-enforcement, political, religious, academic, cultural, scientific and civic institutions may appear under their actual names as part of the setting, historical record or explanatory background. Unless expressly identified as a matter of historical or public record, fictional personnel, conversations, operations, investigations, decisions, procedures, relationships and conduct associated with such institutions are inventions of the author.

Research used in the saga and on this website is drawn from public, scholarly and open-source material. No confidential, classified, privileged, proprietary, unlawfully obtained or otherwise non-public information is claimed as a source.

Where a page distinguishes between “Real World” material and “True Charm” material, that distinction is intended to help readers separate documented background from fictional or saga-specific interpretation. It does not alter the underlying copyright or ownership status of the respective source materials.

5. Religious and cultural material

Religious institutions, clergy, monastic communities, terminology, customs and practices may be represented with reference to real traditions and publicly available sources. Fictional clergy, fictional conversations and fictional events should not be interpreted as statements by or about the Romanian Orthodox Church or any other religious body unless expressly identified as historical fact. Literary, spiritual and theological views expressed by fictional characters do not constitute official doctrine.

6. Ateneul Român and cultural-source artwork

Certain decorative illustrations used throughout True Charm are original True Charm interpretations inspired by late-nineteenth-century interior ornamentation of the Ateneul Român, Bucharest, including historic medallion and decorative motifs within the concert hall. These illustrations are independently rendered interpretations and are not reproductions of contemporary photographs or official institutional artwork.

Their inclusion is for artistic, cultural and contextual purposes only and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, approval or authorisation by the Filarmonica George Enescu, the Ateneul Român, the Romanian Ministry of Culture or any other person or body associated with the building or its administration.

7. Real businesses, places and trade marks

Real businesses, hotels, broadcasters, airlines, venues, products, services, brands and other commercial entities may appear as elements of the contemporary setting. Real hotels, restaurants, airports, churches, monasteries, universities, streets, businesses and other identifiable locations may likewise be used as settings for fictional events. Their inclusion should not be understood as a statement that fictional events occurred there or that their owners, operators, employees or representatives participated in, approved or authorised the depiction.

All third-party trade marks, service marks, trade names, logos and brand names remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance is for identification, realism, criticism, commentary, historical reference or fictional context as applicable, and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, approval or authorisation.

8. Automated extraction, text and data mining, and AI use

Except where permitted by mandatory law or expressly authorised in writing, True Charm S.R.L. reserves its rights against reproduction, republication, systematic extraction, scraping, dataset compilation, text and data mining, machine-learning or artificial-intelligence training, fine-tuning, grounding, benchmarking, model development, or other automated exploitation of protected True Charm material.

This reservation is not intended to prevent ordinary human reading, legitimate quotation or criticism, lawful indexing by conventional search engines, or other uses that applicable law expressly permits.
